Crazy For You is a modern show, but it has it's beginnings way back in 1934. This is when Roger Horchow fell in love with the music of Gershwin. Many years later he and co producer Elizabeth Williams engaged author Ken Ludwig, director Mike Ockrent and choreographer Susan Stroman to originally produce Girl Crazy, but with the cooperation of and support of the Gershwin family turned into the wonderful Crazy For You. The show is an amazing mix of well known Gershwin compositions (Rhapsody in Blue) and lost gems make this show as foot tapping and sing a long as the old classics. This show is helping The Rhyl and District Amateur Operatic push forward - highlighting our desire to produce modern shows (without forgetting traditional ones) in order to draw in new audiences and keep our faithful supporters with shows of great quality and high entertainment. Be sure to see the North Wales premiere of Crazy For You! |
